Halo: Combat Evolved Anniversary (2011, ESRB M)

Wow guys, what can I say? Halo is awesome! If you're like me and missed out on the original one from 2001, this is a good remaster of it. In Halo, you play as an unnamed soldier called "Master Chief" who's ship crashlands on a ring-like planet called Halo! On there, you have to fight lots of different aliens with your artificial intelligence (or AI) Cortana.

The story is pretty fun. There were a few hard parts that took me awhile to get through but it was really good. I liked how you could also switch between the original and updated graphics at will. It made the game a lot more replayable.

If you get through the story you can also play multiplayer. There are tons of different weapons and abilities to choose from. They all help you fight against the other players to see who the best Spartan really is!

The only bad thing about the game is I don't like how dark it gets at times. I wish there was a flashlight or something. I also wish it didnt take so long to switch graphics styles.

Minecraft (2011, ESRB RP)

Imagine a world, where you can do anything. Go anywhere, build everything. This is Minecraft. It's kind of like Lego, but more interesting. People complain that it is boring, with few explicit goals. However, this is the charm of Minecraft. Your goal is to survive, and once that is accomplished, you can learn to thrive. An accomplished builder (in the survival mode) in a few hours of mining, and digging, can have a castle built, with effects and features.
        At night monsters come out, like skeletal archers and the infamous creepers. Shelter becomes a priority. Once a shelter and a base is accomplished, a mine can start. Through mining, you can find iron, gold, diamond, and an energizer known as redstone, which can operate machines.
         In creative, you can fly and build everything. Only difference.
         Want to play with friends? Make or find a server! Want the game to look different? Get a texture pack! Want to change your character? Find skins!
         On the downside, single player is somewhat dull. Sure you can build a castle, but it gets very lonely. There needs to be more NPCs.
             This is Minecraft, summed up. I'm looking forward to 1.2.

Another school assingnment

          The perfect trap that would make kids want to stay forever would be a place where they could have fun and do whatever they want. Kids like freedom and fun, so anyplace with those would be a place that children would want to stay in forever

           In modern world, it would probably be indoors, such as an arcade. But not JUST an arcade. The Lotus Casino did this perfectly. A place where you could not only play Mortal Kombat, but a place where you could have a sweet water slide with pool, laser tag, and some basketball, and other sports. 

           The Perfect Trap should also have places for kids to shop for personal items, such as shampoo and even portable gaming systems. It should have rooms, and it should, of course, be free. Not just any trap can be created. It would have to have anything and everything, plus more.

A Week in Vegas

Don't think I'm going crazy. This is a school assignment.
      Alright, I'm not as of now going to Las Vegas (though I may within the next year or two), but my assignment is to outline the Top 10 places I would go if I had a week in Vegas. Here they are (not essentially in order)-

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 (2011, ESRB M)

So worth the midnight trip. MW3 delivers from its first level. If you're disappointed with Activision for going horribly wrong with Black Ops, MW3 will make it up to you. COD: MW3 begins in 2013, with the New York City skyline being attacked by the Russians. WW3 has begun, and MW3 puts you in the middle of it. Whether you fight against ruthless enemies, stealthily snipe your opponents, or hitch rides in fast paced vehicle levels, you mind will be blown. The third in a line of bestselling games will not leave you begging for more. It gives you everything you want in an FPS.

Assassin's Creed (2007, ESRB M)

Assassin's Creed is a great game. I love the fact that the world is open and Altair and Ezio are so flexible. You can scale walls,  do "leaps of faith", and assassinate people so soundlessly and quick, you'll scare yourself. The game centers around an order of Assassins vs Templars. Who would've thought the Assassins would be the good guys, preferring chaos, as long as everyone maintains free will? With an ages old playground combined with modern themes, Assassin's Creed is perfect for everyone. If you like history, AC is for you! If you're into tech, AC will blow your mind.
